Alexandria, VA (March 8, 2022) -- The Truck Renting and Leasing Association announced its Academic Scholarship Program will award four scholarships from the January 17 application deadline:
- Solveigh Barney, member company Wallwork Truck Center of Bismarck, North Dakota
- Victoria Goettel, member company Fleet One Leasing of Valley View, Ohio
- Isabel Hess, member company Hunter Truck of Lancaster, Pennsylvania
- Kaitlyn Sheriff, member company Penske Truck Rental & Leasing of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania
The TRALA Academic Scholarship awards scholarships to assist children and grandchildren of full-time or part-time employees of TRALA member companies who plan to continue their education at an accredited four-year college or university for the entire upcoming academic year. Scholarship recipients each receive $5,000 per year for up to four years if the student continues to meet the program requirements.
TRALA is pleased to share that its Board of Directors approved an adjustment to its academic scholarship program for 2023 which will increase both the number of people who are eligible to apply and the number of applications TRALA receives each year. This change to the program will allow TRALA member company employees to also apply for the scholarship if they plan to attend college in the coming year and if they meet the program's other criteria.
