Former Blue Angels Pilot John Foley to Headline TRALA's 2022 Annual Meeting

TRALA is pleased to announce that keynote speaker for its 2022 Annual Meeting is the former lead solo pilot of the Blue Angels, John Foley and its Industry Speaker is Tom Linebarger, President and CEO of Cummins Inc.

The 2022 Annual Meeting will be held April 3-6, 2022 at the JW Marriott Miami Turnberry Resort & Spa.

As a Blue Angel, John consistently performed in an extreme, high-stakes environment, flying and F-18 at speeds of more than 500 miles an hour and in formations as close as 18 inches apart. John graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy with a BS in Mechanical Engineering and was a defensive back for the Midshipmen. He was chosen as "Top Ten Carrier Pilot" six times before becoming an F/A-18 Instructor Pilot. John also holds three master's degrees: MA in National Security & Strategic Studies from the Naval War College, Stanford Master of Science in Management, as a Sloan fellow from Stanford Graduate School of Business and MA in International Policy Studies from Stanford University.

Tom Linebarger is the chairman and chief executive officer of Cummins Inc. In this role, he oversees the strategic direction and growth initiatives of the 100-year old, Indiana-based company. Cummins is the world's largest independent manufacturer of engines and related technologies; and a provider of global service and support in 190 countries across a network of approximately 7,500 distributor and dealer locations.

Tom became chairman and CEO in January 2012. Before that, he served as president and COO from 2008 to 2011, executive vice president and president, Power Generation Business from 2003 to 2008, vice president and chief financial officer from 2000 to 2003, and vice president, supply chain management from 1998 to 2000.

TRALA President and CEO Jake Jacoby stated, "TRALA is very excited to have two dynamic individuals who will address our general assembly during the 2022 TRALA Annual Meeting. John Foley has led an exciting life with the Navy serving our country and operating jets at both speeds and maneuvers that are incredible to witness. His experience and discussion with our members of his time with the Blue Angels is a great example of both leadership and precision. Tom Linebarger has been at the helm of Cummins for the last decade now and I am eager to hear his thoughts on both where he sees engine technology currently as well as what the horizon may yield for the trucking industry as OEMs slowly transfer to electric and zero-emission vehicles."
