TRALA's Government Relations and Security Committees and the Equipment and Technology Advisory Council (ETAC) all saw packed rooms for their meetings.

"We were very pleased with the high turnout for the committee and council meetings on Monday," said TRALA CEO Jake Jacoby. "It was terrific to see the great attendance and participation by our members on issues that directly affect their businesses."

TRALA discussed a number of critical federal and state issues impacting the truck renting and leasing industry during its Government Relations Committee meeting. The topics featured potential federal tax reform, the recent electronic logging device rule, as well as critical issues that have faced the industry in Louisiana, New York and Maryland over the past several months.

The ETAC meeting featured presentations by representatives from Cummins, Mack Trucks and Utility Trailer Manufacturing Company on the Phase II greenhouse gas and emissions rule as well as the Food Safety Modernization Act.
In the afternoon, NationaLease System, Mack Leasing and Volvo Truck Leasing System, and the PacLease System all began work on their own leasing system meetings that are held in conjunction with the TRALA Annual Meeting.
The day ended with an expansive outdoor welcome social Monday evening hosted by Freightliner Trucks.
