The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) published a final rule in the Federal Register that enacts changes to a wide variety of trucking regulations effective October 1, 2013. The regulatory changes were part of the highway funding bill that was signed into law in 2012. FULL STORY

The Wayne facility builds Great Dane's Everest SS refrigerated trailers. The plant has been in operation since 1986 and employs more than 500 people. . .SkyBitz and TMW Systems have announced an integrated solution for improved trailer maintenance. The integrated SkyBitz/TMT Fleet Maintenance-SQL solution provides for-hire and private fleet carriers a portfolio of solutions for managing their fleets.


Mack Trucks has named Stephen Roy its new North American president, effective January 1, 2014. He will replace Kevin Flaherty who will retire after more than 40 years with the company. . .Bill Kreutinger, vice president of engineering has resigned from Waltco. Dave Sandor, previously operations manager, becomes sourcing manager and Don Scott, general manager, will assume responsibilities for all Tail Lift Operations and will add operations manager to his title. . .Mark Catlin, Channel Partner Sales Manager for J.J. Keller & Associates, Inc., will retire on January 10, 2014 after a total of 32 years with the company
