Alexandria, VA – March 30, 2012 – Yuxin Guo of Columbus, Indiana, has been awarded a scholarship by the Truck Renting and Leasing Association (TRALA) for 2012. The award was announced at TRALA's 34nd Annual Meeting in Dana Point, California.
The TRALA Scholarship rewards the children of member company employees of the Truck Renting and Leasing Association for outstanding scholastic and personal achievements. “We are very pleased to have the opportunity to assist students such as Yuxin who have demonstrated extraordinary scholastic achievement,” said TRALA President and CEO Tom James. “Close to 200 students applied for this year's two scholarships, proof that the TRALA Scholarship Program is now the most recognized and generous scholarship program in the trucking industry.”
Guo, the daughter of Linsong Guo, a Cummins Inc. employee and his wife Autumn Yu, attends Columbus North High School in Columbus, Indiana, where she is a National Merit finalist, co-president of Key Club, AP Scholar with Honor, Bartholomew County Youth Leadership winner and Chinese Language school teacher.
