TRALA Names Two Recipients for Industry Scholarship Program

Alexandria, VA – September 4, 2013 – The Truck Renting and Leasing Association (TRALA) has named Jake Palmer and Andrew Rosebrook as the recent recipients of the TRALA Industry Scholarship Program. These recipients will each receive a $2,500 scholarship that is renewable once for a total of $5,000 if they maintain a minimum 2.0 grade point average on a 4.0 scale.
“The TRALA Scholarship Program continues to insure that the most promising vocational students have an opportunity to pursue studies in a career related to the truck transportation industry regardless of their financial means. We are very pleased to have the opportunity to help these students and give back to our industry,” said TRALA Chairman and CEO of Lawrence Leasing, Steve Lawrence.
Jake Palmer is attending Idaho State University of Applied Technology in Pocatello, Idaho and was listed on the Dean's list for the 2013 spring semester. Palmer is also a night shift apprentice technician for Kenworth Sales – PacLease in Pocatello, Idaho. He has been an employee for six months and his current responsibilities include but are not limited to: PM service work, brakes, clutches, HVAC, basic chassis, electrical and minor engine repair.
Andrew Rosebrook is attending Lima State Technical College in Linn, Missouri. Rosebrook is also a diesel engine technician with Diamond Idealease of Topeka, Kansas. He has been an employee since January 2013.
