Tom's dedication and leadership left an indelible mark on the truck renting and leasing industry, serving on the TRALA Board of Directors for decades, including two terms as Chairman, and for the past eight years as Treasurer.
Tom ran Brown NationaLease, continuing the legacy established by his father. Brown NationaLease was founded in 1940 and remains the oldest full-service truck leasing company in the Midwest. In 1968, the company operated 70 vehicles and today, due to Tom's vision and leadership, it operates over 4,000 vehicles from 19 locations in Iowa and surrounding states.
Tom was a member of the Board of Corcentric (formerly AmeriQuest) and served on the Board of the Farmers Insurance Group of Companies for 21 years. He also served two terms as Chairman of NationaLease. Tom's legacy extends beyond business, as he was deeply involved in charitable endeavors and served on various boards such as the Des Moines Performing Arts and Rust College, leaving a lasting impact on the communities he touched.
TRALA extends its sincerest condolences to Tom's beloved wife Michele, his children Taylor and Stephanie, and the entire Brown family.
