TRALA Welcomes Ryan Snyder as Director of Government Relations

TRALA has hired Ryan Snyder as Director of Government Relations.
Alexandria, October 4, 2023 - The Truck Renting and Leasing Association (TRALA) announced it has hired Ryan Snyder to become its Director of Government Relations, effective October 1.
Ryan is a government affairs specialist with nearly ten years of experience on public policy and advocacy in the transportation, commercial motor vehicle, and financial services industries. He previously served as a Policy and Communications Manager representing the American Automotive Leasing Association, Truckers Integral to the Economy Coalition, and the Truck Trailers Manufacturers Association. Previously Ryan worked for the Truckload Carriers Association (TCA) and the Association for Advanced Life Underwriting (AALU); a trade association advocating for the financial security profession. Ryan also spent four years at the American Trucking Associations (ATA) Capitol Hill Office, as the Manager for Federation Relations and Grassroots programs, working with executives from the 50 state trucking associations to create education and relationship-building opportunities on Capitol Hill. Ryan is a graduate of the University of Alabama, a seasoned musician, and a resident of Northern Virginia.
TRALA President & CEO Jake Jacoby commented, “As TRALA faces new challenges with respect to both state and federal matters, we felt it was important to hire someone with knowledge of the issues affecting our TRALA members' businesses. Ryan is someone I have worked with for several years, and I have seen him effectively handle multiple topics in the trucking and transportation industry. I am confident he will prove to be a valuable asset as TRALA becomes more proactive in dealing with issues such as tort reform, emissions standard changes, as well as a variety of state tax bills that TRALA will need to address."
