Wehagen replaces Andrew Stasiowski, who left over the summer to take the position of President and CEO of the Highway Users Alliance.
Wehagen will lead TRALA's federal and state lobbying efforts, grassroots campaigns, and help to coordinate both the TRALAPAC and the annual Fly-In event in Washington, D.C. He will report directly to TRALA's President and CEO, Jake Jacoby.
Wehagen joins TRALA from the office of Congressman Buddy Carter (R-GA), where he served as Deputy Chief of Staff as well as Legislative Director. He spent time in the previous Administration serving in both the Department of Homeland Security and the Small Business Administration. Wehagen began his career on Capitol Hill and has an extensive track record of success working for the House Transportation & Infrastructure Committee and the House Administration Committee.
TRALA President & CEO Jake Jacoby commented, “We had a strong applicant pool in which to pick someone to lead our advocacy efforts and Robby clearly stood out. His significant experience on the Hill, time working for the past Administration, and his transportation background made him the best person for the position. In addition, his positive attitude and team-first approach to dealing with issues will make him a great fit with our office.”
