Indiana’s Gary Langston Receives TRALA’s State Trucking Award

Aventura, Florida, April 5, 2022 -- Today, the Truck Renting and Leasing Association (TRALA) honored Gary Langston, president of the Indiana Motor Truck Association (IMTA), with the association's State Trucking Award for his work in representing the industry.

"I was very pleased to present Gary with the TRALA State Trucking Award," said TRALA President and CEO, Jake Jacoby. “Gary personifies the strength of our partnerships with the state trucking associations across the country. There have been countless issues over the past few years in Indiana that impact TRALA's membership and Gary is always responsive and works in coordination with TRALA to achieve a successful outcome. He is a prime example of the collaboration that exists between TRALA and our allies in the states.”

Gary Langston began his career at United Parcel Service (UPS) and was with them for 37 years prior to joining IMTA. Gary served in several capacities, many within operations, which included being a driver before moving into leadership roles. He also became a Public Affairs Manager for UPS airlines prior to his final role of Corporate Public Affairs Manager.

At the helm of IMTA, Langston has been responsible for the implementation and execution of the IMTA vision and goals set forth by the Board of Directors. He serves as the voice of trucking before both the state legislature and Indiana's congressional delegation. He has served on state trucking association boards as both a chairman and as a Board Member. He currently serves on various transportation committees in both the public and private sectors.

The TRALA State Trucking Award was established in 2016 to honor the state partners that help make TRALA so successful in all 50 states on legislative and regulatory issues that impact the truck renting and leasing industry.
