TRALA will be hosting a webinar on Tuesday, May 12, at 2:00 PM EDT to discuss the recent legislation passed by Congress and signed by President Trump in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Two partners from the law firm Scopelitis Garvin Light Hanson & Feary will present information and take questions from TRALA members.
Specifically, members will hear about both the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) and the Economic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL) program. These loan programs may be useful for TRALA member customers in obtaining the much-needed money not only to help with payroll but with lease and rent payments. Loan forgiveness calculations can be discussed as well as any other questions TRALA members may need answered.
Speakers will include Greg Feary, President and managing partner of the Scopelitis law firm, who practices primarily in a wide range of transportation laws including insurance, independent contractor laws, insurance laws, legislative support and transportation contract matters. In addition, Steve Pletcher, a partner in the Scopelitis firm will also present during the webinar. Steve serves as the firm's principal advisor on its alternative workforce strategies practice for motor carriers. He also counsels clients on tax issues and leads the firm's employee benefits practice.
