States Providing Tax Relief During COVID-19 Outbreak

TRALA has been closely monitoring the sales and use tax impact caused by the COVID-19 (coronavirus) outbreak across the nation.

Several states have already provided tax relief amid the virus. Specifically, many states have either extended their filing and payment deadlines for various taxes or are waiving interest penalties for late filing or payment.

You may view a full list of the states and territories that have already taken action by clicking here.

The outbreak of the coronavirus continues to be an ever-changing situation. The list provided above is subject to change as many states are making decision rapidly and daily. TRALA encourages its members to contact their state Departments of Revenue directly with any specific questions related to how they are providing tax relief during the coronavirus pandemic.

If you have any additional questions or need further information on how states are helping relieve the tax burden on businesses, please contact Andrew Stasiowski at astasiowski@trala.org or Elizabeth Hyers at ehyers@trala.org
