As part of TRALA's ongoing goal to be as efficient and effective as possible for its membership, the association has begun a restructuring plan. This plan will allow TRALA staff to better focus their energies and time on the key elements that support our members and eliminate redundancy.
TRALA is proud to announce that the following employees have received promotions:
· Shannon Davison has become the Senior Director of Events and Communications
· Andrew Stasiowski has become the Vice President of Government Relations
· Tonya Gibbs has become the Chief Financial Officer
Shannon has demonstrated over the past several years a mastery of TRALA's events, particularly of the Annual Meeting, which is so critical to TRALA's yearly success. Following the record attendance and revenue generated at this year's Annual Meeting, Shannon has also taken on the key role of moving our print directory into an electronic form which should be operational by the end of this month.
Andrew has been handling many government relations issues for the past three years and has grown exponentially in his role as TRALA's main lobbyist on issues both before Congress as well as federal agencies and in the states. As Vice President of Government Relations he will continue in this role with more leadership responsibilities to ensure our members are represented effectively.
Tonya has been essential to maintaining all of TRALA's financial data as well as handling key administrative and human resources elements that make the association function properly for the past several years. She will continue in this role with expanded oversight over TRALA's operations and finances including TRALA's planned move to new office space in 2020.
As part of the restructuring process, TRALA staff members LaTisha Thomas, Associate Director of Membership, and Graham Hall, Manager of Government Relations, have left to pursue other opportunities. TRALA wishes both the very best and appreciates their years of service to the association.
In the coming months, two new positions will be created to finalize the restructuring plan. TRALA will send out announcements of the hiring of those individuals once they have taken place later this year.
In the meantime, if you have any questions regarding government relations issues please continue to contact Andrew at astasiowski@trala.org and if you have membership-related questions, please feel free to reach out to Jennylynne Bowman at jbowman@trala.org for assistance.
Please join me in congratulating Shannon, Andrew, and Tonya for their new expanded roles within TRALA and as always, please feel free to contact me anytime should you have questions or concerns.
Thank you.
