KENNY VIETH, ROBERT O'NEILL ADDRESS GENERAL ASSEMBLY AT TRALA'S 2017 ANNUAL MEETING

Bonita Springs, Florida (April 5, 2017) -- Kenny Vieth, president and senior analyst at Americas Commercial Transportation Research Co., LLC., and Robert O'Neill, former Navy Seal and one of the most decorated combat veterans of our time, addressed attendees of the Truck Renting and Leasing Association's 2017 Annual Meeting on Tuesday at the Hyatt Regency Coconut Point Resort and Spa in Bonita Springs, Florida.  
 
At the General Assembly, Vieth's presentation highlighted ACT Research's analysis of the U.S. economy, delving into the truck market and the outlook for truck sales for 2017.
 
O'Neill's keynote was a highlight of the Annual Meeting and touched on leadership during crises. O'Neill used his career experiences to highlight the lesson of never giving up, no matter what your industry.
"TRALA was thrilled to have both Mr. Vieth and Mr. O'Neill speak to our membership today," said TRALA CEO Jake Jacoby. "Mr. Vieth's overview of the national economy and the impacts on our industry was not only timely but informative. Following the General Assembly on Tuesday morning, TRALA attendees were given a choice between two different business sessions on issues directly impacting the truck renting and leasing industry.
 
Scott Perry, chief technology and procurement officer of Ryder System, Inc. and Tim Proctor, executive director, product management & market innovation of Cummins, Inc., addressed the engine and vehicle technology advancements coming to the trucking industry in the near and distant future. Issues such as autonomous trucks, platooning, electric heavy duty trucks, and much more were tackled by two of the industry's most knowledgeable voices.

The second session focused on how to save thousands of dollars in taxes and to protect TRALA-member companies from being a target of the trial lawyers. Larry Oxenham, one of America's top asset protection experts, discussed five tax reduction strategies most people fail to utilize, which could save companies thousands of dollars.

"The business sessions addressed two very important topics for our members today," said Jacoby. "Given the fact that our industry purchases more than 25% of all trucks on the road today, it was really helpful to hear from two experts on what trends are coming soon -- and what the not-too distant future may hold -- for the trucking industry. I also thought that because so many TRALA members are family-owned businesses, the asset protection presentation provided real value to many of our members."
