TRALA MEMBERS OWN A QUARTER OF ALL CLASS 2-8 TRUCKS ON THE ROAD

ALEXANDRIA, Va. (January 7, 2016) -- TRALA members own one of out every four Class 2 through 8 commercial trucks on the road today, according to a new industry survey released by TRALA.
ALEXANDRIA, Va. (January 7, 2016) -- TRALA members own one of out every four Class 2 through 8 commercial trucks on the road today, according to a new industry survey released by TRALA.
"The outlook for our industry remains more positive than ever before," said TRALA President and CEO Jake Jacoby. "TRALA members continue to serve a growing need within the marketplace to deliver the newest, cleanest and most technologically advanced trucks on the road today."
TRALA conducted the industry-wide survey of all TRALA members, and worked with ACT Research to compile the aggregate totals to illustrate the size and scope of theU.S. truck renting and leasing industry. These results demonstrate the importance and impact that the industry as a whole has on the overall economy.
Among the other findings from the survey:
- $13.91 billion: Total annual "dry" rental and lease revenue for TRALA members
- 57,501: Total TRALA-member employees
- More than 37,000: The number of commercial lease and rental customers TRALA members serve annually
- 15,879,000: The number of consumer rental customers TRALA members serve annually
- 22%-24%: TRALA member share of all Class 2-7 trucks on the road today
- 25%-28%: TRALA member share of all Class 8 tractors on the road today
