Eaton has added two optional features to the company's UltraShift Plus and Fuller Advantage automated manual transmissions designed to enhance low-speed maneuverability. The new Urge to Move and Blended Pedal features improve low-speed handling in situations such as backing into a loading dock or maneuvering in a construction job site. . .Volvo Group North America's Hagerstown powertrain manufacturing facility has dedicated a new parking lot solar canopy structure that generates clean, renewable electricity, while keeping vehicles protected from the weather. The Volvo Group partnered with ConEdison Solutions and Entropy Solar Integrators on the design and installation of the solar canopy, which is among the largest on the U.S. east coast. . . In August, Goodyear-Fleet HQ 24/7 Emergency Roadside Service – which is offered through the Goodyear-Fleet HQ suite of business solutions – helped 15,375 trucks return to service, a record for the program. . .Kalmar, part of Cargotec, has introduced a new Kalmar T2 terminal tractor for the European market.

TRALA's Joe Sculley, director of government relations, will be leaving the organization at the end of October to become the new head of the Motor Transport Association of Connecticut. . . Idealease, Inc. has elected William K. Reilly, President, Badgerland Idealease to serve as Chairman of the Board of Idealease for 2016.  Scott McCandless, President, McCandless Idealease will serve as Vice Chairman.
