TRALA Kicks off its 2015 Annual Meeting

Alexandria, VA – March 17, 2015 – The Truck Renting and Leasing Association (TRALA) has commenced its 2015 Annual Meeting at the Omni Amelia Island Plantation in Amelia Island, Florida. The business on Monday morning started off with a packed room for TRALA's Equipment and Technology Advisory Council (ETAC) which featured presentations from Cummins, Isuzu Commercial Truck of America, Hino Motor Sales, Mack Trucks, Navistar, Inc., and Volvo Trucks. These six companies presented on advancements and technology trends dealing with fuel economy and how they are addressing the needs of their customers.
TRALA discussed a number of critical federal and state issues impacting the truck renting and leasing industry during its Government Relations Committee. The topics featured federal tax reform, a planned federal highway bill scheduled for later this year, and Louisiana warranty legislation.
“We are extremely pleased with the overall participation in the committee and council meetings held on Monday. It is great to see so many attendees engaging in the issues that affect our members,” said Jake Jacoby, TRALA President and CEO.
The NationaLease System, Mack Leasing and Volvo Truck Leasing System, and the PacLease System all got to work on Monday afternoon with the first of two meetings scheduled during the week.
In the evening, a record number of over 450 attendees gathered together outside for the opportunity of networking and reminiscing with friends at the Welcome Social hosted by Freightliner Trucks.
