TRALA Elects Mark Siegal, President & CEO of Edart NationaLease,
as 2005-2006 Chairman
Alexandria, VA - April 15, 2005 - Edart NationaLease President and CEO Mark Siegal of Hartford, Connecticut, was unanimously chosen by the members of the Truck Renting and Leasing Association as its 2005-2006 Chairman at the association's 2005 Annual Meeting held April 6 - 9 in Tucson, Arizona.
"I am honored to have been chosen to lead our national association in the coming year and I believe that TRALA's success in the legislative and regulatory arena is the direct result of TRALA's members believing in the value of participatory government, said Siegal at his acceptance speech on April 9th. "Over the next year I will seek to encourage all those engaged in the vehicle renting and leasing industry to work together, colleagues and competitors alike, in seeking reform in areas such as tort reform and taxes. Unfair laws that discriminate against our industry hurt both our companies and our customers and must be overturned or defeated. Working as a unified industry, we can accomplish remarkable results."
"Prior to assuming the TRALA Chairmanship, Mark was already recognized as a strong leader within our industry -- demonstrated both through his individual business success and commitment to industry-wide priorities," said TRALA President and CEO Peter Vroom. "He is an absolute believer in the importance of legislative advocacy as TRALA's key priority and his active involvement for many years with state and federal government makes him particularly well suited to lead TRALA for the next year."
