TRALA ANNOUNCES 2006 SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENTS
Alexandria, VA, April 5, 2006 - Alexander Gribov of Mayfield Heights, Ohio and Jacob Grow of Columbus, Indiana have been named the TRALA Scholarship recipients for 2006. Gribov and Grow will each receive a $5,000 scholarship that is renewable for three more years of college if they maintain full-time enrollment and a minimum 3.0 grade point average. The recipients were announced on March 29 at TRALA's 2006 Annual Meeting in San Diego, California.
The TRALA Scholarship rewards the children of member company employees of the Truck Renting and Leasing Association for outstanding scholastic and personal achievements. "We are very pleased to have the opportunity to assist two such fine students," said TRALA President and CEO Peter Vroom. "Since 1996, 44 TRALA scholars have received up to $20,000 each to attend college. The TRALA Scholarship Program is now the most recognized and generous scholarship program in the trucking industry."
Gribov, the son Michael and Irene Gribov, an employee of Penske Truck Leasing, is vice president of the National Honor Society and a delegate to the award winning Model United Nations. Alexander is the president of the People Recognize International Diversity and Ethnicities (PRIDE) and a volunteer English tutor with elderly Russian immigrants as well as a National Merit Scholarship finalist. He plans to major in business management at the University of Pennsylvania.
Grow, the son of Kevin and Sheryl Grow, a Cummins Inc., employee, is a member of the National Honor Society, Distributive Educations Club of America (DECA), is a varsity athlete in football and track, and served as class vice president. Jacob was named class Valedictorian and plans to study Life Science at Brown University.

TRALA, based in Alexandria, VA, is a voluntary, non-profit national trade association, organized in 1978 to provide a unified and focused voice for the truck renting and leasing industry. TRALA's membership includes more than 500 leasing and rental firms and 100 suppliers that make up nearly the entire truck renting and leasing industry. The renting and leasing industry is responsible for approximately 35 percent of all new Class 3 through 8 commercial truck registrations.
