Truck Renting and Leasing Security Awareness and Self-Assessment Guide is a voluntary tool for companies to use when assessing their security preparedness. The awareness information and self-assessment inquiries in the guide were developed with the help of expert security consultants and in consultation with the federal Transportation Security Administration (TSA). Safeguarding America’s Transportation System, Security Guide for Truck Rental Employees was prepared by the federal government with input from TRALA, is part of a cooperative effort to heighten security awareness within the truck rental industry. The guide identifies certain behaviors and actions that employees of truck rental companies should be on the look out for during the workday. It also provides helpful information needed to report potential security threats. The guide is intended to augment existing security policies and procedures already in place within the industry.
