Truck Security

The federal Transportation Security Administration (TSA) is considering a mandated program that would require truck renting and leasing companies to cross-check customer names against government-held terrorist watch lists. The TSA is also considering a mandated program that would require every renting and leasing company to develop a written security plan that includes adherence to government-established best practices. TRALA is working both with the TSA and with key members of the U.S. Congress to highlight its ongoing security program and to prevent the implementation of ineffective or redundant government-mandated programs.
