The U.S. Senate Environment and Public Works (EPW) Committee has sent its federal transportation package to the full Senate.  The bill, S.2322, “The MAP-21 Reauthorization Act,” now awaits action by the Senate Finance committee, which must find a way to pay for it in light of a failing Highway Trust Fund; the Commerce committee which will examine safety and regulatory issues; and the Banking committee will review transit programs. A new paper issued by the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe concluded that diesel road vehicles were the cause of only a small percentage of particulate matter in Europe and the United States compared to the economic sectors like the commercial, institutional and household sectors. Reardon is replacing John Thomas, who is retiring from this position. . .Tallman Truck Centre has hired Chris Hutter as vice president of sales for its Mississauga location. . .PHH Arval has named Gary Anderson senior vice president and chief business development officer for North America.
