ALEXANDRIA, Va.  (September 8, 2016) -- TRALA members purchased 20 percent of all Class 2 through 7 commercial trucks in the U.S. and purchased nearly 25 percent of all Class 8 tractors in 2015, according to a new industry survey released by TRALA.

"The trucking industry remains our nation's foremost mover of freight, and TRALA's members serve them by granting them the flexibility to add capacity quickly and efficiently," said TRALA President and CEO Jake Jacoby. "The ability to rent or lease trucks -- vehicles with the latest in environmental and safety technologies -- is an important one for trucking and TRALA's members fill that crucial need."

"Truck renting and leasing is a vital part of the U.S. economy. With all the economic uncertainty and the significant capital needed to purchase and operate new trucks today, TRALA members allow their customers to focus on running their businesses. This simply makes TRALA customers more productive," Jacoby said.
